Coronavirus Information - Mask Mandate

At the direction of the City of Philadelphia’s Health Department the City of Philadelphia has now lifted the mask mandate previously reinstated on Monday, April 11, 2022. The First Judicial District will follow these same recommendations. Therefore, in compliance with the City, all employees and visitors entering a First Judicial District facility, will no longer be required to wear a mask. Although the City has lifted the indoor mask mandate, we strongly encourage all First Judicial District Employees to wear a mask when inside any FJD facility, for your protection and those around you.

Masks are still strongly recommended in indoor public settings to help reduce transmission and keep Philadelphia at a low risk level.

All jury trial participants will still be required to wear a mask.

This new policy will go into effect immediately. All other COVID protocols will remain the same.
